This heavily textured, multilayered painting features shades of solid and metallic blue and green with accents in shades of magenta and pink. Markings and underpainting show through in places with touches of red, gray, and plum. Edges are finished in black, suitable for hanging without a frame.

About Hope:
I painted this piece while working through some disturbing news. While I love pinks, I was definitely feeling blue. After several layers of colors and texture that reflected my emotions, I realized that no matter how much of the darker colors I painted, the brightness of the pink continued to show back up, as did the shine of the metallics. The name came to me instantly. No matter how dark or turbulent the day, there is still hope of a better one to come.
