Lisa Wommack is an abstract artist born and raised in Texas. From her earliest memory, Lisa nurtured an inherent penchant for creativity, including writing, drawing, sewing, decorating, and photographing her travels. Embracing a new chapter of artistic exploration after retiring from IT consulting, Lisa began her journey into acrylic painting, delving into the world of colors, mediums, substrates, and techniques. She dedicated herself to learning through voracious reading, participation in art classes, engaging with online art communities, and honing her craft with relentless practice and experimentation in her home studio. Thus emerged a new passion for art and a realization that she had an ardent wish to share it with other art enthusiasts and collectors.

The Inspiration
I create art because, for me, it transcends space, time, expectations, and socio-economic status. Everyone is welcome to view and enjoy. In this sacred space, nothing else matters. There is no need or room for differentiation, exclusion, or prejudice. Your souls are in communion, and for that moment, that’s all that matters. I paint because I want more of that in the world.
I am passionate about my art because it lets me express myself authentically. I relish the freedom to use the colors that make me happy to create an aesthetically pleasing composition that reminds me of places or people I love, or captures the essence of a memory or emotion. It brings me so much happiness and satisfaction to think of someone in the world looking at a painting I made and responding to it on an emotional level, connecting us and our experiences.
